Look for Me….I am out and about!!!!

Last year I was thinking about how lonely I get between my visits.  I talked to Santa and he agreed with me that  I can bring so much fun and laughter to families I can visit anytime I .  I don’t have to wait until Christmas anymore.

So since Christmas I have visited Roger in the hospital, played with Charlie after he has his tooth pulled, played hide and seek with Amanda while while she recovered from her broken arm.  IWent to several birthday parties.  It was sooo much fun!!!!!

So keep your eyes open.  You may find me just about anyplace, any time….

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Tonight is the night.  A night of magic , mystery and delight.  Keep your eyes to the sky and maybe you will catch a glimpse of Santa and his sleigh soaring to his next destination.  It is time for me to say goodbye to my friends and return the the North Pole.  I have had a great time and found some nifty hiding places.

And do take time out tonight to say thanks to God, for giving us this life and the life ever after;  through His Son, Jesus.  Born to die, so that we might live.  Have a joyful Christmas, my friends.

Don’t be too surprised if I drop in during the year just to say hello and check up on you!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Santa is coming very soon!

I know how excited you are,  little ones.  Santa will be here in just a few more days.  I know how hard you are trying to be good so you stay on Santa’s nice list.

Remember it is important to be helpful, cooperative, cheerful and nice all year long,  not just at Christmas time.  I can drop in anytime to say hello so keep up the good work.

Also, take some time in the next week to thank God for giving us His Son Jesus, our Joy and eternal life.  What a gift to all mankind.

Merry Christmas everyone and a very Blessed New Year!!

Happy Thanksgiving

I am so excited….I love the aroma of Turkey Roasting in the oven,  pumpkin pie spices, a fire in the fireplace, and most of all CHOCOLATE!!!!!

This has been a trying year for many folks and sometimes we get so distracted we forget to count our blessings.  A way to help put our lives back in balance is to focus on what we have rather than what we don’t have.  I like to keep a daily diary of what I am thankful for from now until Thanksgiving Day.  At dinner we all share our list of blessings and thank the Lord.  Try it, you will be surprised.

I am also getting very excited about getting packed up for my annual home visit.  Not too sure where I will be this year, but wherever I am I will have a great time playing hide and seek.  That is my favorite sport!  So keep your eyes open;  you can find me hiding just about anywhere.

Hope to see you real soon.

Awesome Halloween Fun

Did everyone have a great time last night?  I loved all the costumes.  Witches, army men, baseball players, beauty queens; oh my, so many adorable kids.  My very favorite was a bat-arina and a ninja.  They practically flew from house to house they were so excited.  Today they are going to do “candy math” at their home school.  Counting the different types of candy and then making graphs.  What a fun way to learn math.  You should try it…sometimes you get to eat a treat while you study!

So, now our thoughts go to Thanksgiving.  My buddies are gathered at the North Pole awaiting assignments to new homes and planning departures to our families.  There is so much excitement in the air.  We paid visits to some of our families during the year and that was really fun.  Showing up to wish Abi good luck in her Triathalon and Ian good luck in football camp was quite a surprise for them.  Alot of my pals visited their families at camp, in the hospital, summer school, all kinds of surprise places.  Christmas visits;  still the most exciting and best.  Santa really needs us to help him get that list ready.

Have a great week.  Be Good and Be Kind to everyone!!!!! Talk to you real soon.

OOOOOOO Went the Wind….Witches in The Air

I am so excited…..Halloween is just a couple of weeks away.  I am going trick or treating this year with Abi and Ian.  Not too sure what I will be…..I am still thinking about it.  What are you going to be?  Here are some tips for having a great time:

1.  Stay together with your group or Mom and Dad so they don’t get lost.

2.  Wear a flashing necklace or one of those cool light up things.

3.  Stay on the side of the road and don’t just run across the street without looking.

4.  Just take one piece of candy unless the people say you can have two.

5.  Please and Thank You….manners are really important.

Have a great time…enjoy your candy and treats…YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!! Chocolate is MY favorite.

Let me know how much fun you have and what your costume is.

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

FALL IS IN THE AIR

I had a great summer flying around the country visiting kids for birthdays, family outings, when they were not feeling well, athletic events, last days, first days….you name it, I was there to cheer them on.  I know the kids loved seeing me during the year and it doesn’t spoil my holiday visits.  Seeing me throughout the year just makes our friendships more solid.

Checked in with Santa and he is confident the Christmas projects are on schedule and everyone is ready for action.  Sure would love to hear from you.  Just drop me a line…I will write back!

Looking forward to a nice fire in the fireplace tonight!!!!

August is here…almost back to school

Do you believe it!!!!! It is August. Summer is almost over and soon it will be back to school. And in less than 120 days it will be time for me to start my holiday travels again. I can’t wait.

I have had a great summer so far. Visited a few friends for their birthdays, went to the hospital to cheer up some friends who were quite ill, getting ready to cheer Abi on at her triathalon in a few weeks. I am really enjoying spending time with my friends outside of the holidays.

Hoping you are all having a wonderful summer!  Looking forward to our next visit.

SCHOOLS OUT!!!!!

Just helped  Rachal celebrate graduation from kindergarten!  Yep, me, Elfie the Christmas Elf is coming any day, any time, anywhere to help celebrate special events and times.  You never know when I will drop in to say hello.  No need to wait for Christmas to enjoy my antics and have fun finding me.  Stay alert….Elfie, The Christmas Elf is on the move!!!!

Spent a day or two at the beach celebrating the beginning of summer vacation with my friends Amy and Todd from Virginia.  And surprised Emily as she finished her very first swim meet.

OH this is so much fun.  I really love being out and about all year long.  Of course, Christmas is still a very special time of year and I am a Christmas Elf, but I can be Elfie, the anytime elf whenever you need a smile.

Tell your friends to be on the lookout for me.  Spread the word, the more you talk about my new expanded visits the more I will be around to share joy and happiness with you.  I am actually heading to Maine  this week to visit an elderly friend of mine in a nursing home.  I cannot tell you how much fun the folks at the nursing home have looking for me hiding around their homes.  I am not just for little kids, I can bring joy to all ages!!!!

Have a great summer everyone….see you soon??????

Happy Birthday!!!

I just returned from Zack’s birthday party.  He was 5 years old yesterday.  What a blast.  He discovered me hanging from the birthday banner as he was getting ready to blow out the candles on his cake.  He lost his “blow” and started giggling…”look who’s here, it’s Elfie.  Thanks for coming to my birthday party.”  “This is the best birthday ever!”

While the kids played games and opened gifts I slipped away.  I will never forget the look of surprise and joy on Zack’s face when he saw me….This is getting to be a fun activity.  Look for me at your next birthday party.
